ibn al-Jawzi rahimahullah & His Response & Verdict upon the Rafidah

 


ibn al-Jawzi rahimahullah wrote in his great history, Al-Muntazam, 

'They [fanatic Shi'is] narrate certain things, then say, "This, only the Family of the Messenger of Allah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam] know!" and they say, "This is the outward meaning, but it has a hidden meaning," and "so and so believes what we believe, but does not show it!"...But you should know that their madh-hab, if outwardly is Rafd, is inwardly Kufr.' [5:115]

'The fanatics among the Rafidis violate the Book of Allah and the Sunnah in openly insulting the Sahabah radiyallahu 'anhum, and holding views that are sheer unbelief (kufr), as well as indecent, permissive rulings.' [8: 38-39]
