The Great Syrian Mufassir, Shaykh Muhammad Ali As-Sabuni rahimahullah said, 

"The Majus, the Persians, the Iranians, those who claim to be the Shia of Rasulullah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, by Allah, they are liars, wicked people. They have neither a covenant, nor justice. 

The so-called 'Islamic Republic of Iran', they should have called it the: 'The Persian Magian Republic', not 'Islamic' - stop deceiving people! Call it the 'Persian Magian Republic.' 

We ask Allah to save us from this misguidance, and all praise is due to Allah, Rabb of the Worlds."
