  I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 1. For this reason, I see, understand and realize that Islam is under attack. I have closely followed societal trends in the past, but now I feel empty of what I would previously experience from my practices as a Muslim, without the frills and fusses of modernism. I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 2. I understand that what my parents, grandparents, and family did before - also as concerned Muslims - is very different from what the modern Muslim community is doing.   I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 3. I know that Islam teaches modesty and shame, so I shall not engage in free mixing at family functions, nor shall I attend lecture events with mixed audiences, even if the speaker seems very famous.
