It was conquered in the time of Sayyiduna 'Umar radiyallahu 'anhu and gave birth to some of the most magnificent scholars in the history of Islam.  The hadith of Sayyiduna Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam had emphatically declared a short while before this conquest, that there will be no Kisra again after he disrespected the blessed letter of the Rasul of Allah and tore it up.   I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 1. For this reason, I see, understand and realize that Islam is under attack. I have closely followed societal trends in the past, but now I feel empty of what I would previously experience from my practices as a Muslim, without the frills and fusses of modernism. I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 2. I understand that what my parents, grandparents, and family did before - also as concerned Muslims - is very different from what the modern Muslim community is doing.   I AM A VERY CONCERNED MUSLIM... 3. I know that Islam teaches modesty and shame, so I shall not engage in free mixing at family functions, nor shall I attend lecture events with mixed audiences, even if the speaker seems very famous. As a concerned man, I shall not attend programs of a woman, and as a woman, I shall not attend the lectures of strange men, except if it is fully in-line with Hijab, with a solid barrier, where I cannot see the speaker, and he cannot see me.
