Modernism is Ugliness: Muhammad Zaki Hamad

To modern man - postmodern man: know that anything deviating from its course takes it from the realm of beauty into the absurdity of ugliness. The sun remains beautiful in its orbit ordained by Allah Ta'ala, and the moon remains luminous, sending forth its luminous tranquility by adhering to the limit set for it by Allah Ta'ala.

Likewise, everything in this world is subject to this, 'it is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outpace the day. Each floats in its orbit.' [Qur'an 26:44]

The greatest beauty for a servant is to adhere to the meaning of his servitude, for this is the requirement of reason and wisdom, especially for one who knows poverty and weakness, his limited understanding, and his weary thinking. Let him submit to the one who says to a thing, 'be', and it is. In all of this lies Shaytan's endless filth. Therefore, Allah Ta'ala has enjoined upon us not to worship Shaytan, but to dedicate our worship solely to Him, and we adhere to His straight path._____ Under the Banner of the Flood p.176
