Upholding the Legacy of the Blessed Sirah
UPHOLDING THE LEGACY OF THE BLESSED SĪRAH
All Muslims around the world understand it to be their responsibility to
guard and uphold the legacy of Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi
wa sallam – the final Nabī of Allāh Ta’ālā.
Ever since he was deputed as a Nabī, and he called to Islām and Tauḥīd,
Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam became the target of
abuse and vilification. He was laughed at, mocked at, and all sorts of horrible
things were done to him, his blessed family, his sincere companions, and all
those who believed and followed him.
Just before he departed from this worldly abode, liars and imposters
arose, claiming to be Ambiyā’. They were dealt away with by Allāh Ta’ālā at the
hands of the sincere Muslims, and all these fraudsters fell head long into the
fire of hell. This trend continued, and other imposters also claimed Nubuwwah. This
trend will continue further, to the degree that Dajjāl will also make the same
false claim, before claiming divinity.
THE TRUE ‘ULAMĀ’ – DEFENDERS OF THE LEGACY OF NUBUWWAH
The heirs of the legacy of Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam
followed in the footsteps of the honorable Ṣaḥābah raḍiyallāhu ‘anhum and
defended the Khatm-un-Nubuwwah with their lives and wealth.
No matter the odds, and no matter the sacrifices that were to be made,
the ‘Ulamā’ of the Ahl-us-Sunnah wal Jamā’ah, fulfilled their responsibilities
and defended the Khatm-un-Nubuwwah, and everything linked to Sayyidunā Muḥammad
Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu alayhi wa sallam. They wrote books and articles,
travelled far and wide, lectured and taught, raised awareness, and a
significant number of them even gave their lives in this cause, earning
martyrdom for the pleasure of Allāh Ta’ālā. May Allāh Ta’ālā be pleased with
all the Ṣaḥābah raḍiyallāhu ‘anhum and the true ‘Ulamā’ of the Ummah who
fulfilled their duties in the best way, and left an excellent example for us to
follow. Āmīn
THE ENEMIES OF RASŪLULLĀH ṢALLALLĀHU ‘ALAYHI WA SALLAM
ADOPT A NEW GARB
The enemies of Islām have always fought on two fronts. One from outside
and the one from inside. They worked with the hypocrites from within the Ummah
to scuttle the ship of Islām. Alḥamdulillāh, they have failed again and again,
and will continue to fail miserably until they meet their horrible end. Inshā
Allāh, joining their predecessors in hell.
With the rise of modernism and liberalism, the enemies of Islām have
taken on the same old battle against Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam; attacking his being, his Nubuwwah, his teachings, his
spouses, his companions, and those who follow his example.
This time though, the enemies of Allāh Ta’ālā and Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam are fighting the second front, i.e., from within, using those
who are supposed to be guarding the legacy of the blessed Sīrah. In this day
and age, there are imposters in the garb of scholars that use platforms to
promote a message totally against the grain of the blessed Sīrah, in the name
of the Sīrah! Subḥānallāh, deception upon deception.
INTERFAITH IS A DENIAL OF KHATM-UN-NUBUWWAH
Muslims in South Africa are no strangers to controversy kicked up by
modernists and liberal scholars in the name of the Sīrah. Previously, the
incident of the Christian delegation was misrepresented and twisted out of
context to establish interfaith blasphemy and hypocrisy.
These kinds of controversies are not damaging the legacy of Sayyidunā Muḥammad
Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam in any way. In fact, they only damage
the image of the speaker, and will serve as a means of destroying their
position in the sight of Allāh Ta’ālā, earning his anger and displeasure.
Similarly, an essential component of Muslim life, modesty and shame, was
literally bashed, where females were encouraged to venture into the adulterous
environments of colleges and universities.
HAVE CONCERN FOR YOUR OWN END
The actions of the Ummah are presented to Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam. Those who destroy the Dīn he brought by feeding the Ummah a
modernist and liberal version of the Sīrah, twisting it from its original
purity and distorting it to serve a Dajjālī agenda must be very concerned. They
will get away with it in this world, they might even enjoy popularity and a
huge following, but the hereafter is still to come. It is there that we will
all have to face Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam and
the Ṣaḥābah raḍiyallāhu ‘anhum. It is there that we will have to respond to
them.
The face with which we want to meet them is determined by the route we
take with regards to his blessed and pure legacy. If we taint his legacy with
modernist trends, I am sure we all agree, that he will not be happy to meet us,
nor will he be willing to intercede for our forgiveness and entry into Jannah.
We seek the protection of Allāh Ta’ālā.
DEFEND THE LEGACY OF THE SĪRAH AUTHENTICALLY
Muslims around the world, and in South Africa, are called upon to study
the blessed Sīrah of Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam from authentic
sources, and then be on their guard regarding those who taint his blessed life
and honourable legacy.
May Allāh Ta’ālā protect
the entire Ummah from spoiling the blessed Sīrah, and using the name of
Sayyidunā Muḥammad Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam to spread modernist
blasphemy and hypocrisy. Āmīn
