The 'Hardline' Conundrum
Over the last few days, there seems to be a huge noise created about 'hardline' and 'extremism' amongst common Muslims.
This noise about 'hardline' needs some analysis in the light of global developments, because Muslims in other parts of the globe were also labelled 'hardline' - before extreme measures and draconian laws were enforced on them, in order to literally make them give up their religious practices.
In the mainstream media, we saw 'hardline' being pushed on innocent Muslims, whilst their country was bombed back two decades, for simply being good and upright Muslims according to the dictates of the Noble Qur'an and the Blessed Sunnah.
Now, the same has hit home. If a person wants to be a good and practicing Muslim, he is 'hardline', now in the eyes of his own. This is how the media has brainwashed the public into believing utter falsehood.
Can someone kindly explain to us what 'hardline' means?
If a person wants to perform Salaah five times a day in the Masjid, is that 'hardline'?
If a person wants to adopt Islamic clothing, is that 'hardline'?
If a person wants to remain modest, without becoming an alphabet, is that 'hardline'?
If a person chooses to live sincerely, without showing all his or her wares and deeds online, is that 'hardline'?
If a person chooses an honest way of living, is that 'hardline'?
If a person chooses to be the best they can, in the sight of Allah Ta'ala, is that 'hardline'?
If a person chooses not to support futility, is that 'hardline'?
There seems to be no concrete definition of 'hardline', especially from the Modernists.
Bear in mind that Modernists are extreme hardliners, they are hardline in the pursuit of fulfilling their desires, they are hardline in pushing immorality and filth down the throats of the Traditionalists, they are hardline in pushing the public into accepting kufr and shirk, they are hardline in their approach of mocking and deriding the laws of Allah Ta'ala.
May Allah Ta'ala guide the Modernists. If guidance is not decreed for them, May Allah Ta'ala relieve us and the good, sincere Muslims, from their hardline dogmatic acceptance of Modernism and irreligiousness. Ameen
