Interfaith is spread through multiple avenues. One of these is marriage. There are Muslims who believe that there is nothing wrong in marrying adherents of other religions, and their spouse can remain on his or her religion.  Those engaged in this practice have a number of excuses ready for any genuine Muslim who asks. They say, 'love wins', 'Islam permits it', 'I don't see a reason why we can't be together', 'it's fine with me if she's fine with it' etc.  The practice of 'interfaith marriage' has serious ramifications and disastrous repercussions in the life of a person, in this world, as well as the hereafter. In short, it is a recipe for disaster. Modernism and Islam are incompatible. For this reason, Modernists resort to various kinds of lies and tricks in order to make their heresy look nice and give it a look that seems to be in-sync with traditional Islam. One of the favorite pastimes of Modernists is to use Tahrif, i.e., distortion.  In previous times, the Jews and Christians would resort to Tahrif. The Noble Qur'an speaks about this in a number of ayaat. It seems as though Liberals and Modernists today have taken off from where previous nations have left. Alhamdulillah, a Muslim cannot be more grateful to Allah Ta'ala for the bounty of Islam and Iman. These are priceless. The proof of their value is clear as daylight in front of us, as we see more and more arrows and bullets fired in their direction. Modernists have no qualms about voicing their hatred for Allah Ta'ala, Rasulullah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, the pure teachings of Islam, and dedicated Muslims. They present their flawed arguments aimed at destroying the foundations of Islam in a sweet tone, but become aggressive and disrespectful, to the point of bigotry when others don't seem to 'get it'. If we analyze their attitude and ways, we come to understand that their responses, ways, and even language matches that presented by the disbelievers, heretics, and deniers of the Ambiya'. They blurt out 'harsh', 'extreme', 'backwards', 'khariji', 'stone-age', 'malicious', and other vile words in order to hurt the hearts of sincere Muslims and traditionalists, whereas true Muslims only desire the protection of Islam and presentation of the reality in line with the blessed Sunnah. Modernists are people who work very smartly and slyly, not constructively, but destructively, digging the foundations of Islam and robbing you of your iman.  They abuse positions of influence to sneak in anti-Islamic messages and liberal propaganda.   One of the major challenges we face today is the difficulty in figuring out who is a modernist and who is a traditionalist.  The rule of thumb regarding this issue is that a traditionalist uses the sources of the Shari'ah as his basis and guide to come to a decision and conclusion. His goal is the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala, guarding his religion, and avoiding the pitfalls of accepting rare, unsubstantiated views, and flawed analogies.  On the other hand, the modernist uses his base and carnal desires as his guide, and demotes the Shar'i sources as secondary - to prove his incorrect decision and lend credence to his deviation.
