What if the Interfaith Question was Posed to the Pious Predecessors?
Sufyan Thawri rahimahullah was one of the great Muhaddithin of this Ummah. He lived from 97 to 161 AH.
Imam Dhahabi rahimahullah wrote about him, an entire book, called Manaqib Sufyan Ath-Thawri, from which the following 2 narrations are mentioned:
1. Damrah reports, I asked Sufyan Thawri, "Shall I shake hands with the Jews and Christians?" He said, "With your foot, yes."
2. I said to him, "What shall I say when I hear the sound of the Naqus (gong or bell)?" He said, "What do you say when a donkey passes wind?"
Can we imagine for a moment what Sufyan Thawri rahimahullah would have said if the interfaith question was posed to him? What would he have said had he seen interfaith activities and prayers in which Muslims participate?
Muslims today are under the impression that interfaith is synonymous with Da'wah. This image or impression has nothing to do with reality. Interfaith, and interfaith related activities like Mosque Open Days are nothing but deception. Da'wah and interfaith are two different things; they have nothing to do with each other.
Da'wah is about inviting to pure and pristine Islam. Interfaith is a display of polytheism in the name of Da'wah. Interfaith is Zionist friendly and all interfaith advocates are warmly welcomed and awarded by Zionists.
May Allah Ta'ala save the entire Ummah from the curse and calamity of interfaith and the disaster of Mosque Open Days. Ameen
