Decoding the Modernist Lingo
The Muslim Ummah is aware, to some degree, that the Rawafid or Shia employ a concept called Taqiyyah. Taqiyyah is a multipurpose tool, used by the deviated to deviate others. By means of Taqiyyah, a Rafidi or Shi'i ensures his survival in a largely non-Shi'i society. He lives in apprehension of being picked up, but with the hope of ensnaring others. Taqiyyah is holy hypocrisy. A person who employs it becomes a habitual liar, conjuring lies and tricks with each blink of the eye.
In the same way, the Modernists and Liberals, especially their scholars and professors utilize double speak and coded language to trap others into their way, the way and religion of following and worshipping base desires. Modernists and Liberals blend into a traditional Islamic setting very easily. They remain in their outer traditional Islamic garb, but talk and express themselves like hedonists and non-Muslims, lying to those around them all the time. The worst part is that they know that they are lying to themselves, because the Noble Qur'an and the Blessed Sunnah are totally opposed to Modernism, Liberalism, and Hedonism.
Hereunder, we will mention a few terms that are distorted by the Modernists and Liberals, so that the common Muslim will be able to grasp and understand how a play of words is utilized to justify fulfilment of desires.
The objective of Modernism and Liberalism is to 'normalize' what Allah Ta'ala has forbidden. If a person has to normalize something, it means that it was abnormal to begin with. I find it strange that people around the world find it disturbing when normalization takes place between a Muslim country and Israel, but they don't find it horrendous when they normalize all the ways of the Jews and the Zionists in their own lives - in opposition to Allah Ta'ala and the religion of Islam.
⇨ Zina, i.e., adultery is called 'romance.'
⇨ Alcohol is called 'lifestyle.'
⇨ Rebellion is called 'empowerment.'
⇨ Modesty is mocked.
⇨ Sin is glamourized.
⇨ Sunnah is called 'Activism.'
⇨ Flirting and free mixing is called 'Da'wah.'
⇨ Haram becomes 'identity.'
⇨ Shari'ah becomes 'oppression.'
⇨ Religion becomes 'personal.'
⇨ Don't enjoin good or forbid evil becomes 'don't judge.'
⇨ LGBTQ is turned from a matter of halaal and haraam into a 'political issue.'
⇨ Genuine 'Ulama are cast aside and professors and doctors are promoted as people from whom the knowledge of Deen can be taken from.
⇨ Instead of disbelief being despised, people are taught to love and emulate the qualities of disbelievers.
As this continues, a person loses the ability to differentiate right from wrong, and soon enough, he or she will not be able to see the light through the darkness.
Religion is erased from one's speech and mind. A person forgets about Allah Ta'ala and desire becomes his new deity.
Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember?
In this way, Shaytan replaces divine guidance with human ego, lust, and desire. For this reason, one will find Modernists and Liberals very commonly saying that no-one considers their 'feelings', they sin because they 'feel like it', they disagree with anything told to them because it clashes with their 'feelings', and they cannot tolerate anyone calling them out for their heresy, because their 'feelings' are affected by the language or approach used. In this way, whatever is told to them, it means nothing, whilst they continue following their 'feelings' and worshipping their desires. This is because their 'feelings' is their deity and god.
Hence, it is essential that we re-align our thoughts and minds, and move away from the heresy employed by Modernists and Liberals to move us away from divine guidance and pure Tauheed. The next time you hear a Modernist or Liberal scholar, actor, motivational speaker, or presenter, listen carefully to his words. Is he using Modernist lingo and double speak? Don't get caught napping...
