All Flawed Isms Evaporate through Sincerity [Ikhlaas] & Devotion to Allah
Acting upon one's views without any need or necessity is nothing but self-infatuation.
It is the Sunnah of Allah Ta'ala that sincerity, integrity, and devotion to Allah Ta'ala is permanent. In the court of Allah Ta'ala, it is only the currency of sincerity that operates. Sincerity is conditional to acquire the help and support of Allah Ta'ala. When views and opinions that contradicted the consensus of the pious predecessors were adopted, then it has been witnessed, and the future also established that it was nothing but selfishness, egotistical, and self-infatuation.
When there is consensus of the pious predecessors on an issue, and consensus is established as a proof, then what need is there to use one's own opinion and view? The rare and isolated view and opinion that is based on desires and ego will gain traction and acceptance for a short while, but in the end, it will become part of the junkyard of history.
These isolated views and opinions are mostly chosen without reason, and they are adopted simply for identification. Alternatively, they are based on self-infatuation, selfishness, and self-obsession. These rare views and opinions have nothing to do with the sincerity, veracity, and devotion to Allah Ta'ala found in the pious predecessors. For this reason, these rare views and opinions do not get the help and assistance of Allah Ta'ala. The rare views and opinions adopted by some people get rejected in the end and they are flung aside with disgrace, disdain, and infamy. Stability and permanence lies with sincerity, i.e., Ikhlaas.
The history of the Ummah bears testimony to the fact that each and every thought pattern, ism, and philosophy that arose over the centuries came in countless forms and shapes. They were promoted with a big hue and fuss. It seemed as though the truth that was passed down generation by generation will lose the battle for its survival, but it happens that after a short while, that ism, thought pattern, and philosophy breathes its last, and falsehood departs. The fog begins to lift. The bright, shining sun of the truth appears, and in its light, the fragrance and aroma of the immense sincerity of the pious predecessors spreads, radiates, and diffuses.
