Refutation of the Lies Against Sayyiduna Zayd radiyallahu 'anhu, Sayyidah 'Ai'sha radiyallahu 'anhu, & Sayyiduna Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam
1. Sayyidunā Zayd
bin Thābit raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu was an Anṣārī Ṣaḥābī.
2. He was from the scribes
of waḥī, i.e.,
revelation.
3. Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam had mentioned that he was not at ease regarding the
correspondence of the Jews, as they would write in Aramaic. Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam was not at ease; it should happen that the Jews write what
they did not say, or, they should not write what they actually said. This was
the purpose of the instruction of Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam. See Ḥayāt-us-Ṣaḥābah
volume 3 page 277.
4. Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam did not instruct Sayyidunā Zayd
bin Thābit raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu by way of diplomacy and interfaith relations, as
stated by a certain speaker in Houghton on Friday 15 December during his
Jumu’ah lecture.
5. It is highly dishonest, disrespectful, and downright deception to state
that the instruction of Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam to Sayyidunā
Zayd bin Thābit raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu was for interfaith relations with Jewish neighbors.
6. The speaker in question emphatically stated twice that the time period
in which Sayyidunā Zayd bin Thābit raḍiyallāhu ‘anhu learnt the language of the
Jews was 8 days. This is incorrect. The report of Abū Dāwūd says half a month,
and the report of Abū Ya’lā and Ibn ‘Asākir says 17 days.
7. Some books state that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit radiyallahu 'anhu learnt Hebrew. However, he learnt Aramaic, and Syriac.
8. Such interpretations, like that of the speaker, are lies against
Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam and Sayyidunā Zayd bin Thābit raḍiyallāhu
‘anhu. These lies are being promoted to further the interfaith agenda in South
Africa and elsewhere.
9. Furthermore, in the same lecture, the speaker lied against Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam and Umm-ul-Mu’minīn Sayyidah ‘A’isha raḍiyallāhu ‘anhā by
stating that the incident of ifk was a matter of ‘national interest’. He stated
that Sayyidah ‘A’isha raḍiyallāhu ‘anhā was like the ‘first lady of the Islāmic
state’. Astaghfirullāh, how can it ever cross the mind of a Muslim to speak in
these filthy terms about the best of the creation? Is he insinuating that
Madinah was a democratic administration? If he likens Sayyidah ‘A’isha raḍiyallāhu
‘anhā to ‘the first lady’, what is he saying about Rasūlullāh ṣallallāhu
‘alayhi wa sallam?
10. We call upon the entire Muslim Ummah to raise their voices and condemn
this filth against the Messenger of Allāh, his blessed spouse and his noble Ṣaḥābī
in the strongest terms.
11. May Allāh Ta’ālā save us from all blasphemy. Āmīn
