  'Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri rahimahullah was a very high ranking Muhaddith. He possessed a treasure of knowledge and deep insight. Aside from having mastery over Arabic, he was an expert in archaic Persian.  'Allamah Iqbal Marhum had once travelled to Iran. The Zoroastrians there requested him to translate one of their ancient works into clear and lucid Persian. He replied, "It is not possible for me to translate this work. However, there is someone in my country that will be able to do this work very well."
